When you meet someone how do you get to know them?
Do you ask each other questions?
Do you recount your experiences and adventures?
Do you tell some things about yourself?
Do you introduce yourself?
Do you let time to define what they are and who they are?

But does it matter whether you need to know them or not?
Maybe you do not need to but in the end you get to know them over time.
